For the sixteenth Reduct, I have selected two tracks which maintain the tempo acceleration of the fifteenth Reduct. “Levis” and “Levo” have an airy feel to them due to their melodic structures, but are grounded by solid bass lines.
“Pictures From Life” is a various artists compilation, curated and released by spclnch, including tracks from Upwellings, Schulz Audio, Basicnoise, Heavenchord, and myself.
“Life is nothing but illustrated collection of stories that naturally updates itself. Often it happens quietly and only some time after it can be found that compilation has become thicker and brighter. “
Out now on ODrex Music, “Auncyen EP”. Carefully cut by Patrick Peetz on 10″ transparent lathe vinyl in a very limited run of 20 copies.
“With ODcut 017 we bring you a fresh release by Ohrwert titled Auncyen ep. as 10inch transparent lathe cut vinyl. Crafted beautifully are 2 trax to enjoy on the dancefloor or simply for your listening pleasure. Float in the world of Ohrwert!”

Out now on spclnch, “Soliton EP” with remixes by Schulz Audio and Heavenchord.
“Every creation has its creator, however, we concentrate on different colors of events once we encounter with art.
But does the artist really match with the messages he reflects in his work? What if not?
One could be deeply disappointed due to ones high expectations. Art can be referred to some ideals, while people are never perfect.“
Tempo is the theme for the fifteenth Reduct, as the doublet track titles suggest. Though the tempo is not much higher than my usual work, it is enough to change the music to an upbeat vibe whilst still being dub at its core.
Two fresh cuts, unifying two of my recording methods by sampling every sound from my equipment, but mixing and arranging them live in one take.
From the vaults; a mix of exclusively Rhythm & Sound records. Recorded at Staalgraan, June 2007.

Recently I was asked to record a podcast for the Lifecrushed mix series. It turned out in a 77 minute mix of exclusively Ohrwert material featuring some of my latest releases, as well as releases of the past few years.
A constant thumping, Ohrwert’s mix summons a thick, nebulous fog – the snares and high-hats serving as brief glimmers of lucidness. It’s an hour of deep rumination, with a consistent theme and ambience making time hurtle by. A set to help you mull something over.
