Kaaresta

In retrospect, “Kaaresta” has been a creative arc between two houses. Recording sounds in my studio in one house, editing them on my laptop in my girlfriend’s house. The result is a fine weave of electro and idm, braided with tight drum patterns and interlacing melodic structures.

The Clock Of Dreams

Out now: “The Clock Of Dreams”, a collaborative album with the wonderful Network 23 from the UK. Three analog sequential frameworks I recorded, filled in by Alan and Simon with an eclectic range of elements, including guitar, samples, loops, and VSTi’s.

Audionautic Research Program

Audionautic Research Program was conceptualized in 2008 as a placeholder for experimental space music. The cosmic aspect has carried over, but eleven years later its emphasis lies on long-form live recordings, centered around complex sequential patterns in the vein of the Berlin-school of electronic music.

Technologue

“Technologue” is a selection of playful tracks I recorded between September and December of 2013. They are by no means dub excursions, but do share a similar array of analog and digital technology. Same ingredients, different recipe.

M-32 EP

Every sound on this EP has been sourced from a pair of Moog Mother-32s, some of the melodic structures were generated using their internal sequencers, or in conjunction with the Koma Komplex Sequencer. Processing included, but was not limited to, granular re-synthesis and aleatoric composition.

Grenzwellen Drei

Out now: “Grenzwellen Drei”, a massive compilation with a boggling 55 tracks featuring artists like Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Ian Boddy, Hecq, and myself amongst many more. All proceeds will be used for the production of the Grenzwellen radio show, presented by Ecki Stieg and broadcasted on Radio Hannover.

Circadian

Concluding this year’s string of monthly releases, I present “Circadian”, an improvisational album of which all three sequential workouts were recorded within one circadian cycle.

Thirteenth Reduct

The thirteenth “Reduct”, a series that has started in 2008 and is, despite a long hiatus until early 2018, still my outlet for contemporary work in the realm of dub. “Antumbra” came to be whilst preparing for my show at Yaga in Lithuania last summer, resulting in an acidious dub house track with a cosmic flair. “Penumbra” is its technoid counter with a faster rhythm and deeper groove.

Transformational Content

“Transformational Content”, the second Minute Of Arc album. An album that took a full year to complete, and another three to release. Musically, it floats within the realm of electro, but technically, the tracks originate from studio sessions that cross between various electronic styles. There is no apparent reason for the delayed release. However, from my point of view it is interesting to see how the MOA sound is evolving over time and that these tracks are still holding up.
